Full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate academic excellence by earning a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.6 while completing a minimum of 15 or more UB credit hours, of which 12 are graded (A – F) credits, are named to the Dean’s List at the end of each semester. These further conditions apply:
- Incompletes invalidate a Dean’s List award until satisfied, at which time the award may be assigned retroactively.
- Students in a professional baccalaureate program requiring at least 14 credit hours of specified courses in a semester are named to the Dean’s List if they complete the following:
- Earn a grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.6 in all the student’s courses graded ‘A – F’ and a grade of ‘P’ in all required or elective courses graded ‘P/F’. The courses graded ‘A – F’ shall constitute at least 50% of the credit hours in which the student is enrolled for the semester.
Notifications are sent to qualifying students to their UB email accounts in January for the previous fall semester; June for the previous spring semester; and a Dean’s List notation appears on student transcripts.
