Spanish, Italian and French Proficiency Exams!

Posted January 7, 2015 in General, Important Dates

UB’s Department of Romance Languages and Literatures is offering proficiency exams in Spanish, Italian and French this spring semester. These exams are NOT placement exams. They are intended for students who recently completed 3 or more years of high school Spanish, Italian or French or for heritage speakers. They test a student’s elementary and intermediate level proficiency. If students pass the Spanish, Italian or French exam, they are exempt from UB’s Foreign Language General Education Requirement.

First year students are encouraged to take this exam now while their high school knowledge is still fresh in their memories, as the probability of passing the test 2-3 years down the road is significantly reduced.

Proficiency Exam Test Dates:
*Monday, February 9, 2015 – 3:50–5:30 PM, Room 248 Cooke Hall OR
*Tuesday, February 24, 2015 – 3:50–5:30 PM, Room 248 Cooke Hall
