Donate Items & Write Notes to Soldiers Overseas: Holidays for Soldiers Program at UB

Posted November 27, 2013 in Did You Know?, New Students, Veterans

UB UNIVERSITY LIFE & SERVICES – Several UB offices are partnering to help make our veterans’ holidays more comfortable. From Mon. December 2 until 12 pm, December 13, 2103, the UB campus community is invited to donate items and supplies and write personal messages of support to improve the quality of life for our armed forces service members overseas. All items will be shipped overseas.
Spearheaded several years ago by Anna Bellia-Schwass, the Holidays for Soldiers program sends simple supplies and messages to soldiers in Afghanistan or to sailors deployed on Navy vessels all over the world. Anna has partnered with a shipping company that sends the items at no charge. Anna’s brother is a colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
